Jumanji: The Next Level is a 2019 American fantasy adventure comedy film, It is a sequel to 2017's Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle and is the second follow-up to 1995's Jumanji. In Jumanji: The Next Level, the gang is back but the game has changed. When Spencer (Alex Wolff) goes back into the fantastical world of Jumanji, his friends Martha (Morgan Turner), Fridge (Ser`Darius Blain) and Bethany (Madison Iseman) re-enter the game to bring him home. As they return to Jumanji to rescue one of their own, they discover that nothing is as they expect. The game is now broken and fighting back. Everything the friends know about Jumanji is about to change. The players will have to brave parts unknown and unexplored, from the arid deserts to the snowy mountains, in order to escape the world’s most dangerous game.
With the super duper success of Jumanji: Welcome to the jungle, we all were expecting a sequel! The 2017 film already sported a star studded cast but the 2019`s sequel got a new push from Danny DeVito and Danny Glover. 'The Next Level' is another entertaining entry into the Jumanji franchise. It is funny, entertaining and a movie that turns out to be a better than expected sequel. With both the 2017 and 1995 films doing so well, its hard to match their level and also at the same time bring something new and unique to the table. But 'The Next Level' does it all, its a family film and any person from any age group would find something to laugh about. This movie would leave you in splits! With the extremely comical bromane of Dwayne Jhonson and Kevin Hart that we have already got a taste of in the previous Jumanji and 'Central Intelligence'. The new additions Danny DeVito and Danny Glover add such fun and witty moments you find yourself laughing till your stomach hurts! The body swap antics come as a new addition to this film and this wild ride of fun and adventure turns even more amazing.
The movie does has its downside too, the script is not perfect and the storyline does turn hazy in between, but in a movie such as this, viewers don`t need to focus on that! Movie`s like this are to be thoroughly enjoyed and laughed upon. And to be frank its such a pleasing movie that you can ignore the faults! The film picks up from its predecessors, proves to be as good as them if not better. It manages to have its own unique twists and turns and has just the perfect comic timing to leave all viewers in splits! Though not a perfect movie script wise its still entertaining, funny and absolutely worth watching!
