"And I know what I have to do now. I got to keep breathing. Because tomorrow, the sun will rise. Who knows what the tide could bring?"

Cast Away is a American survival drama film directed and co-produced by Robert Zemeckis. The story revolves around a FedEx employee stranded on an uninhabited island after his plane crashes in the South Pacific. The movie showcases his desperate attempts to survive on the island while battling the effects on his mental health because of living a solitary life.

Cast Away is a solid performance of Tom Hanks and probably one of his best works! With him carrying more than 75% of film, a lesser performer would have made it an unendurable ordeal. The movie has exceptional cinematography, engrossing script and one of the best acting performace. It is probably one of the best disaster-emotional film ever made. A movie so well made, it is fully absorbing, heart rendering and an excessively observational film.

The movie talks about mental health and how being stranded alone for a long time can change a person`s thinking about life, the world and their priorities in life. Its one of the only one man film that has done so well and is captivating in a way that you can feel the emotional transformation of the man on that island. Even though nobody can realistically relate to it and yet it seems relateable, that`s the magic of this film! All in all its a film that is movingly powerful depiction of a marooned man.
