Forrest Gump is probably Tom Hanks`s best work by far. This movie is a sweet movie, revolving around the life of a boy who isn`t that smart and all that he wants in his life is to be with his sweetheart. The boy`s life goes through ups and dows, the movie takes us through his life, a journey through a topsy turvy period of American history. Tom Hanks with Gary Sinise, Robin Wright and Sally Field makes this movie an absolute delight to watch. Its a very different movie with a script and vibe unlike anything ever released.
The movie won 6 Academy awards, was even re-released in IMAX later. The movie is so sooting, with picturesque scenery being depicted in the most intelligently beautiful way. The movie never fails to bring a smile to its viewers and is hence one of the sweetest peices ever made! But for some critics, the movie seemed too sweet and probably too unrealistic and thus the movie faced some backlash.
